Emergency Simplex Test Net

Every Sunday afternoon at 5:00 - 6:00 PM

Simplex instructions

Under emergency conditions, repeaters may not work, therefore simplex operations will be primary communication. When talking on simplex, direct traffic to net control or your relay station. Remember to open your squelch to enable you to hear distant contacts. Contact net control to relay in any distant stations that are not heard by net control. Keep in mind that a conversation may be taking place that you are unable to hear. Be patient, and keep trying!

Go to the traffic light at Academy Drive (the traffic light after Hwy 61/Villa Rica Hwy) and make a U-turn back on Eastbound Hwy 278. The Chamber of Commerce building is on the right.

Field Day 2012

2 PM Saturday June 23 - 2 PM Sunday June 24

Setup will start at 10 AM on Saturday morning. We will be 3A which means 3 transmitters plus a 6 meter transmitter and a GOTA transmitter so we will actually have 5 radios to work with. Plenty of action, and for those of you that are techs it gives you a chance to work some HF. The club license is Extra class so we have no restrictions on frequency. We could also make good use of anyone who can work CW.

FREE for everyone! This is a tailgating Hamfest, although there are several small booths available with electricity on a first-come basis. Vendors are welcome! There will be food available at a reasonable price. This is a nice park with a playground and lots of shade.

Admission and tailgating is FREE!
