The Paulding Amateur Radio Club, Inc., Paulding County's oldest and largest amateur radio club, is a 501(c)(3) corporation that was formed in 1990 and incorporated in 1998, consisting of a membership of operators from Paulding County and the surrounding area. Club meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:30 PM at the Paulding County Chamber of Commerce.
The club runs two repeaters under the call W4TIY: 224.700- (PL 100) and 443.700+ (PL 77). Feel free to use the repeaters any time you are in the Paulding County area.
The club also operates a 10 meter beacon at 28.272. The beacon, which operates continuously, uses the W4TIY callsign and transmits a short message repeated after 3 seconds using 25 watts into a vertical antenna. We welcome any signal reports. Feel free to listen to the beacon any time you want to know if 10 meters is open to the Metro-Atlanta, Georgia area.
